Instructor Continuing Education

Now That You're An Instructor

Instructor Level Continuing Education

The better you are, the more money you make. As a PADI Instructor, you can increase your marketability and create a greater demand for yourself by becoming a PADI Specialty Instructor, EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE™ Instructor or a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Dive professionals who have the right skills can work anywhere in the world. At Mandarin Divers we seek out the best.

Instructor Level Trainers

Instructors who have gone beyond the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer certification have special credentials that allow them to teach PADI Instructor Development Courses or programs within the IDC. PADI IDC Staff Instructors can teach the AI course in its entirety and may assist with IDCs. PADI Master Instructors teach the same courses as IDC Staff Instructors, however they have achieved a higher rating through their overall support of the PADI system throughout their career as a dive professional.

The PADI Course Director rating is like earning a master’s degree in scuba education and is the pinnacle of all PADI Instructor level certifications. Course Directors teach the full spectrum of PADI Courses and focus on conducting PADI IDCs. Both Andrew and Paul at Mandarin Divers have achieved this highly sought after rating.

Special Credentials

As well as taking PADI continuing education courses to further your career, learning new skills or adding to existing skills will make you more attractive to potential employers. These include compressor maintenance and repair, boat piloting, dive equipment repair and maintenance, sales and marketing skills, pool maintenance, photography/videography and customer service skills.
